/Brand Strategist

Location: Toronto

Idea Couture is looking for a Brand Strategist. Unlike typical strategy consultant roles, we are looking for someone with intense interest in consumer insight, cultural creativity and marketing innovation that fuels a desire to build extraordinary brands. He or she will have the ability to work alongside cross-disciplinary design & innovation teams to develop breakthrough brand strategies and uncover ways to embed these into new products, services and experiences.

Responsibilities

Integrate relevant research and creative brand building approaches into the design, management and execution of brand & innovation projects
Lead clients across a range of industries through brand planning exercises and workshops
Develop compelling client presentations and deliverables that fuse business, brand and consumer perspectives
Research diverse client industries, competitive and comparative environments and emerging consumer behaviors to reveal unique opportunities for brand differentiation & product innovation
Present findings and recommendations to a broad variety of client stakeholders
Provide working level direction to Associate Strategists as required
Customer management responsibilities
Participate in qualified sales calls as requested

Required skills / Experience

Undergraduate or graduate degree
Expertise in building brands for the digital age
3+ years experience in an account planning/strategy role in professional services/ agency environment, management/strategy consulting
A background in research and insights, brand and/or digital strategy
Strong marketing and analytical acumen
Ability to facilitate discussions through powerful presentation skills
Conversant in the principles and practices of user-centered design
