Idea Couture is looking for a Design Researcher to join our world-class ethnographic research and design team. The successful candidate is passionate about their field and has a solid grasp of research principles in addition to highly developed and honed design sensibilities and skills.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic, creative, fast paced, and rapidly changing environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with multi-disciplinary design team to engage on projects at the earliest stages and
• Create high impact graphics and visuals to communicate ideas.
• Prepare specifications, guidelines, research reports and other project documentation as required
• Conduct research observations and interviews
• Follow through to create design solutions
• Participate and contribute to ideation sessions

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• University / Graduate degree in Design Research or related area
• Proven experience conducting ethnographic / design research
• Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams
• Excellent writing, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong understanding and passion for the web 2.0 world
• Proficient in basic film editing software
• Proficient in MS Word, PPT
• Personable and approachable
• Interest and aptitude for solving business and user problems
• Capable and detailed oriented
