Idea Couture is looking for a Design Research Manager to join our world-class ethnographic research and design team. The successful candidate is passionate about design research and has a solid grasp of research principles, highly developed and honed design sensibilities and skills in addition to meticulous organization skills

Candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic, creative, fast paced, and rapidly changing environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the design research process from inception to client delivery
• Support business development efforts
• Work with multi-disciplinary team to design research processes
• Prepare specifications, guidelines, research reports and other project documentation as required
• Conduct research observations and interviews
• Participate and contribute to ideation sessions
• Set research objectives
• Determine the best use of resources and staff time to meet research objectives

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• University degree in Design Research or related area
• Extensive management skills and experience in setting and meeting research objectives
• The candidate must be personable and approachable
• Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams
• Interest and aptitude for solving business and user problems
• Capable and detailed oriented
• Excellent writing, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Proven experience conducting ethnographic research
• Strong understanding and passion for the web 2.0 world
• Proficient in basic film editing software
• Proficient in MS Word, PPT
