There are an uncountable number of business-related sites, articles, and books that use the phrase ‘real world.’ You can get an endless number of books or services offering insight into ‘real world’ business problems. You can go to a business school for ‘real world’ learning. You can get a black belt in Six Sigma to show your ‘real world’ acumen and bravely go out to solve ‘real world’ problems. You can hire a company offering ‘real world’ business intelligence. There is so much ‘real world’ stuff out there that the phrase is bordering on being meaningless. But it is everywhere and used by almost everyone. So much so, it is now one of the definitional concepts in business thinking.
