BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / ASSOCIATE

The Business Development Associate is responsible for coordinating varied aspects of the business development process including: building and organizing a list of prospective clients; Calling and emailing potential clients to outline our unique capabilities and booking sales meetings with Fortune 1000 companies.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a very dynamic, creative, fast paced, and rapidly changing environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prospecting and qualifying business opportunities in the North American market
• Support business development activities with the goal of educating potential clients about our service offering and booking sales meetings
• Collaborate with team members in an effort to close new business
• Such duties as may be agreed upon between the Idea Couture and the Employee

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Two to six years experience as a Business Developer selling digital marketing or business consulting
• A deep and established database of contacts in targeted industries coupled with a strong understanding of business strategy and design
• Experience conducting sales calls that speak to senior decision makers
• A track record of handling negotiations
• A track record of exceeding and or meeting quotas and closing deals
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• A strong understanding and passion for the web 2.0 world
• The ability to develop top line business cases as a rationale to a sales strategy.
• Familiarity with the workings of the agency world
• Sophisticated verbal and written communication skills
