DESIGNER

Idea Couture is seeking a designer who is passionate about their craft and – someone who wants to make difference in creating new experiences in UI design. The person we’re looking for must have an understanding of usability principles in addition to broader interests of design.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a very dynamic, creative, fast paced, and rapidly changing environment. We foster an environment where strategy consultants + experience architects work together in applying design thinking to solve business problems. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design/create concepts to convey ideas for branding, business, and user experience.
• Prototype application design
• Participate & contribute in ideation sessions
• Visualize ideas and translate those ideas into concepts
• Able to take direction and carry through the execution of designs
• Able to multi-task between deadline sensitive projects

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• 3-6 years experience in interactive media/web application design
• User centric design
• Extremely detail-oriented.
• Ability to prototype
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• A strong understanding and passion for the web 2.0 world
• Proficient in tools such as Adobe CS3 suites
• Previous agency experience an asset
• Proficient in coding (AS3, C++) is a strong asset plus but not required
• Proficient in off-line design and execution is an asset
